There are several possible scenarios: Automatic approval: If no response is received within four weeks, the application is considered approved. Approval notice: In rare cases, you will receive formal approval. Questions or rejection: If there are questions or the application is rejected, we will take care of the necessary corrections.

In principle, any person or company with the appropriate expertise may erect a gravestone. This expertise does not need to be documented by a certificate, but should include existing knowledge of foundation construction and safe installation (e.g., through skilled trades such as bricklayers, concrete workers, etc.).

Gravestones taller than 30 cm generally require a foundation and formal approval from the cemetery administration. A structural inspection may also be required.
