A dignified place of remembrance – for loyal animal companions

We have two Small Münsterländers ourselves. As part of our family, they accompany us in our daily lives, bringing us joy and memories – their closeness provides much comfort. The thought of their departure is touching. When the time comes, I can understand anyone who wants to give their faithful companion a dignified farewell – a place that preserves memories and provides comfort.

Many of our customers report this close bond and desire a permanent, protected place of remembrance. We support you in this process with high-quality products made of solid granite: memorial plaques and pet urns combined with a photo enamel depicting the head of your beloved pet, thus adding a truly personal touch.

Pet burial in Germany – what you should know

Legal basis

In Germany, there is no general obligation to bury pets – the ashes may be kept in an urn at home or in the garden.

The burial of pets in one's own garden is permitted under certain conditions, provided they are not farm animals or large animals. Examples include dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and birds.

You must:

  • Be the owner of the property or have written consent for tenancies

  • the animal must not have died from a notifiable disease

  • the grave must be at least 50 cm deep and have an appropriate distance from public roads, waterways or the property boundary

  • the property must not be located in a water protection area

  • For larger animals , approval from the veterinary office may be required

Please note: This is not binding or liable legal advice. It is simply our experience.

Further options
  • Individual cremation in an animal crematorium with handover of the ashes

  • Pet cemetery burial , if necessary with urn grave and care contract

  • Take ashes home without public burial obligation

Design options with granite

We offer you:

1. Granite memorial plaques

Robust, weatherproof, and clean-lined, they're ideal for gardens or private memorials—often where the animal lived and enjoyed its life. The plaques protect against weathering, are durable, and easy to maintain.

2. Pet urns made of granite

Discreet, sturdy, and visually appealing. Our pet urns are deliberately designed with simplicity in mind—without kitschy ornamentation. Many people appreciate that they aren't immediately recognizable as urns from the outside. With a name, dates of birth, or a small symbol engraved in relief, they convey a sense of dignity and appreciation.

3. Photo on enamel – individual and personal

We also offer the option of having a photo of your pet displayed on an enamel plaque (or blasted in black Swedish granite) that will be attached to the plaque. This photo display is weatherproof, of high quality, and adds a very personal touch to the memorial—a lasting reminder of your pet.

Engraving & Personalization

Personalization makes the memorial unique. We engrave names, dates of birth, or a small symbol (paw, heart, infinity). Optionally, we can integrate an enamel plaque with a photo to keep the pet's life story alive.

All engravings are blasted in depth and colored – resistant to weather influences.

Advice & Support

We know that these decisions are emotional. That's why personal advice is important to us – with calm, experience, and empathy.

Many customers already feel relieved when they know effective design options – and what they need to pay attention to.
